"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat."

I have recently been working on a series of projects involving transmission. Instead of using radio, I am broadcasting sound using modulated visible light, and receiving such signals with light sensors and custom-made telescope-like antennas. This way, audio and visual information is instrinsically linked together, as you decode the messages in the light. With a nod to Alexander Graham Bell, James Clerk Maxwell and countless others, enjoy my adventures in lightwaves!
